PHP, JavaScript, Mobile App Development, iPhone, Android, Analytics, JSON, Web Development, Frontend Development, API Integration · I’m building a production-grade Progressive Web App that runs smoothly as a PWA/Web app on both iOS and Android. Its primary job is to display and / or scan QR codes.
Where it scans QR code, it pulls from a link to our secure web link a vCard from my backend and present that contact card so the user can add it to their phone in one tap.
The platform can be updated from the front-end IOS/Android and control what fields in the vCard that handle multiple phone numbers, emails, physical addresses, social channels, company fields and free-text comments—essentially every field the spec allows—and it has to do so dynamically because the data can vary from one QR to the next.
Scanning itself isn’t just “point and read.” I need robust error correction plus event logging so we can analyse scan success rates, dwell time, geolocation (when permitted) and any failed attempts.
We also seek to build same using Apple Clip and experience in this is highly desirable; if you’ve shipped a Clip before, tell me—otherwise please say so up front.
