About this role
PHP, Python, Django, Software Architecture, FastAPI, OpenAI, AI Chatbot Development, AI Development · I want to bring an AI-driven auto-responder into my email workflow so incoming messages receive clear, factual answers without my manual input. The scope is focused on one channel—Email—yet the architecture should be clean enough that I can extend it later to SMS or Social Media if the business grows.
The responder must: • Read and understand new emails in real time (IMAP/SMTP, Google Workspace). • Generate concise, fully automated informational replies in English only, drawing on a small knowledge base or set of answer templates I will supply. • Fall back to a default template or flag messages whenever the model’s confidence dips below an agreed threshold. • Log every interaction for easy review and fine-tuning.
Tech I’m already comfortable with includes Python, FastAPI, and the OpenAI API, so please stay in that ecosystem unless you have a strong reason to suggest otherwise. A lightweight admin panel where I can update answer snippets, adjust the confidence threshold, and enable/disable the bot is essential.
