About this role
JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Express JS, React.js, Documentation, MongoDB, API Integration · My AI-driven trading assistant is already handling strategy logic and order routing; the missing piece is a solid, low-latency real-time data feed. I want you to wire the assistant to Alpaca’s streaming API so I can consume live trade updates reliably in Python.
Scope • Integrate Alpaca API’s websocket stream and surface Real-time trade updates in a clean, testable Python module. • Feed must plug into my existing Node.js/React dashboard through a lightweight REST or WebSocket bridge so the UI refreshes instantly when new ticks arrive. • Connection management, reconnection logic, and basic error handling are part of the job. Keep the code readable and document the key functions so I can extend it later to current-price or historical endpoints if needed.
Acceptance The module is considered done when it streams live trades for a user-supplied watch list, persists them to MongoDB, and broadcasts the updates to the front-end with sub-second lag in a controlled test.
Git version control, clear commit history, and a concise README will round out the deliverable.
