About this role

Python, Visual Basic, Data Processing, Excel, FileMaker, Visual Basic for Apps, Scripting, Data Integration, Automation, Power Automate · I need a small utility or script that pulls our Sales data from a shared FileMaker Pro file and drops them straight into a pre-existing Excel workbook. The process has to run twice a day—once in the morning and againat 7pm—without anyone clicking a button. No data cleansing or re-formatting is required; I just want the exact export that FileMaker produces to appear in Excel, ready for further analysis.

You’re free to choose the most reliable route—FileMaker Server schedules, an ODBC connection, a FileMaker script coupled with Power Automate, even a lightweight VBA or Python bridge—so long as it works unattended on Windows and can be quickly adjusted if the report layout changes.

Deliverables: • A fully configured automation script or tool with clear, commented source • One-time setup instructions so I can redeploy it if we migrate machines • A brief run-through showing the twice-daily transfer in action and where to tweak timing or file paths

I’ll provide remote screen access to the shared file plus a test Excel sheet the moment we kick off.
