About this role

Python, Visual Basic, Data Entry, Excel, Software Architecture, AutoHotkey, Scripting, Automation, Desktop Application, Workflow Automation · I have Excel workbook sitting in a local folder that need to be pushed, field by field, into the desktop application Winomkar. Each row holds mixed data—some purely numeric, others text strings—that must land in the right screens, after which the script should trigger a few mouse clicks and keyboard shortcuts exactly as I do them now.

You’re free to choose the most reliable approach—Python with pywinauto, AutoHotkey, UI-Automation libraries, or any equivalent you trust—as long as it runs on Windows without demanding extra paid licences. I will supply sample spreadsheets, a walkthrough video of the current manual process, and access to a test instance of Winomkar.

Key acceptance criteria • One-click execution: I drop updated spreadsheets in the folder, launch the script, and the data posts automatically. • Accurate mapping: every cell populates the matching Winomkar field; no shifted columns or truncated text. • Robust error handling: if a row fails, log the reason and continue with the next. • Simple config file so I can adjust folder paths or column-to-field mappings later. • Short hand-off session showing me how to run and, if needed, tweak the solution.
