Scope and objectives The system must work smoothly for every accommodation style—hotels, vacation rentals, hostels and any hybrid in between—so configurability is crucial. Inventory, rates and reservations have to flow automatically between the PMS and the external API, keeping OTA listings perfectly in sync while preventing over-bookings. At property level, staff should be able to handle the entire guest journey from booking to check-out and settle ancillary charges at the POS without touching a second screen.
