About this role
PHP, Mobile App Development, iPhone, Android, Mobile App Testing, Google Maps API, Event Management, iOS · I’m organising a one-day fun run for about 100 participants and need a simple mobile app to capture the day. The flow is straightforward:
• When a runner opens the app, the first of eight Google-Maps screenshots I provide appears. Swiping (or tapping “Next”) moves them through the remaining seven sections as they reach each checkpoint.
• At every checkpoint they must snap a quick photo with the in-app camera—no gallery uploads—then confirm the picture before progressing. Each photo automatically tags itself to the corresponding checkpoint.
• After finishing all eight points, users either: – browse every participant’s shots inside a shared gallery, or – if the shared gallery proves expensive to host, let me alone see the full collection through a simple admin view or downloadable archive; I’ll repost highlights to our social channels myself.
Please build for both iOS and Android with a lightweight backend (Firebase, Supabase, or similar) to handle user auth, image storage, and basic moderation. QR code or email login is fine; I’m open to your suggestion here as long as setup is minimal for the runners.
