About this role
PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, HTML, Email Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimization, WooCommerce, A/B Testing · Optimizing the Checkout Process and Abandoned Carts
Our WooCommerce analytics show that a significant portion of shoppers reach the checkout stage but do not complete their purchase. The checkout form contains eleven fields—some of which are actually unnecessary—and requires users to create an account.
Setup: A local copy of the store with test payment data. Nothing you create will process real orders during the development phase.
Scope of Work: — Simplify the checkout process: remove unnecessary fields, allow checkout without registration — Single-page checkout with clear progress indicators and error messages — Built-in validation to identify issues before the form is submitted, not after — Abandoned cart recovery emails with a “Return to Cart” link — Express payment options at the top of the checkout page — Pay special attention to the mobile checkout experience—this is where we lose the most visitors
Requirements: - Work on Windows — Configure the checkout process in WooCommerce — A conversion-focused e-commerce user interface — Built-in validation and user experience (UX) optimization — Ability to provide recommendations on which fields can be safely removed
