About this role
AWS Lambda, AWS Amplify, AWS Textract · I need a seasoned AWS professional to take full operational ownership of three core services in my account—EC2 Instances, S3 Storage, and Lambda Functions. The work spans initial setup, ongoing monitoring, and continuous optimisation, with a strong focus on cost control.
Key goals • Set up and configure each service so it follows AWS best practices for security, scalability, and tagging. • Implement 24/7 monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation where sensible. • Optimise performance and spend, then provide clear monthly reports that highlight savings. • Create start-/stop routines (the “turn on / turn off professional settings” I mentioned) that let me pause non-production resources on a schedule.
Deliverables 1. Hardened EC2 launch templates, Auto Scaling policies, and CloudWatch alarms. 2. Versioned, lifecycle-managed S3 buckets with proper policies and cross-region replication configured where appropriate. 3. Production-ready Lambda Functions set up with IAM roles, environment variables, and reserved concurrency tuned for cost. 4.
