About this role
PHP, Visual Basic, Data Processing, Excel, Excel VBA, Excel Macros, Data Analysis, Data Management · I receive a raw Excel export straight from our database and need it turned into a clean, analysis-ready workbook. Every record is already there, but column widths, dates, numbers and text fields arrive in mixed formats, making the file hard to read or filter.
Your task is to bring order to the chaos:
• Verify the download imported correctly—no cut-off text, misaligned columns or hidden characters. • Apply smart conditional formatting rules that instantly flag duplicates, outliers or empty cells and add subtle banding for readability. • Standardise headers, data types, currency and date formats so the sheet can feed directly into pivot tables or dashboards without further tweaks.
Deliverable: a single .xlsx file returned with all conditional formatting in place plus a brief note describing the rules you set up so I can update them later.
