About this role
PHP, Python, Web Scraping, Software Architecture, Web Development, Selenium, Automation, RPA Development · I keep all of my operational data in an Excel workbook and need a reliable way to move each row—both text and numbers—into a form inside a custom web application. Right now it’s all manual key-strokes; I want a script or small utility that can read the spreadsheet, match each column to its corresponding field on the site and submit the record automatically.
The workflow is straightforward: open the sheet, loop through every populated row, log in to the web app (single username/password), fill the form, submit, then continue to the next row until the sheet is done. Mixed data types appear (dates, currency, free-text notes), so field-level validation and basic error handling are essential. A simple progress log—ideally a .csv or on-screen report—will let me see which rows were posted successfully or failed.
I’m flexible on technology: Python + Selenium, VBA, Power Automate, even a lightweight RPA tool—whatever keeps maintenance low and can be run from a Windows 11 laptop without extra licensing costs.
Deliverables: • Fully commented source code or workflow file • A one-page setup/run guide • Short video or screenshots proving it works on your end
