Fix Shopify URL Slash Bug

PHP, JavaScript, HTML, Debugging, Shopify, Web Development, Website Optimization, Web Design · A link I hard-coded in the body section of theme.liquid should send visitors with a specific country code to a landing page, but Shopify is silently tacking an extra “/” onto the tail of the URL. The result is an instant 404.

I need someone to step into the theme.liquid file, trace exactly where that trailing slash is being introduced, and remove or neutralise it so the link resolves cleanly. The change lives in the body portion of the file—no JavaScript or third-party app is involved—so the investigation and fix should stay confined there.

Deliverable • Updated theme.liquid (or clearly commented snippet) with the slash issue eliminated and the page loading at the correct destination.

Once the corrected file is published I’ll verify the link from multiple locales; when the 404 disappears and the landing page loads every time, we’re done.
