About this role

Our client, a premier worldwide financial services provider, is seeking a Full Stack Developer Lead . This role commands an organization-wide mandate to spearhead the engineering, design, and end-to-end delivery of highly complex financial application suites. Operating within an agile, cross-functional framework, the leader will orchestrate the evolution of both cloud-native (AWS) and on-premises architectures, serving as a hands-on polyglot developer, strategic systems architect, and executive engineering coach.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture Design

• Application Ownership: Lead the complete engineering lifecycle of entire enterprise application ecosystems, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and security.

• System Design: Leverage advanced technical expertise to architect sophisticated software designs, mapping business logic to scalable database models and modern system integrations.

• Tech Evolution & Innovation: Stay on the cutting edge of emerging software trends, acting as an internal consultant to evaluate and adopt new technologies that drive financial automation.

DevOps, CI/CD & Cloud Infrastructure

• AWS Governance: Act as the subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure, designing, deploying, and monitoring scalable systems built on various AWS services .

• Pipeline Engineering: Take accountability for code integration and deployment workflows, maintaining existing pipelines and architecting new CI/CD infrastructure for fresh product modules.

• Full-Perspective Delivery: Ensure seamless delivery of the entire project lifecycle, spanning architecture design, full-stack engineering, test automation, devops workflows, and post-release technical support.

Agile Orchestration & Engineering Quality

• Ceremony Management: Take full responsibility for driving the execution of all core Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Deconstruction & Planning: Transform complex, ambiguous financial requirements and large-scale epic structures into granular, well-defined user stories and technical tasks.

• Quality Assurance: Establish coding styles, branching strategies, and refactoring guidelines. Perform rigorous peer reviews to maintain top-tier development quality and system performance.

Requirements

Education & Team Leadership

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Engineering Tenure: Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering within a fast-paced environment.

• Leadership Track Record: At least 2+ years of experience in a formal team leadership capacity , guiding cross-functional engineers and driving project outcomes.

Technical Stack Capabilities

• Backend Mastery: * 5+ years of experience utilizing Java, Spring, and Hibernate .

• 3+ years of experience developing server-side architectures using NodeJS, TypeScript , and enterprise frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Hono).

• 3+ years of experience programming in Python .

• Knowledge of Kotlin is considered a highly valuable advantage.

• Frontend Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with React , backed by a solid understanding of HTML5, ES6, CSS3, JavaScript, and broader modern frontend UI ecosystems.

• Cloud & Infrastructure: 2+ years of experience creating, deploying, and optimizing enterprise applications running natively on AWS infrastructure .

• Data Management: Mastery of source code management via GIT alongside strong engineering skills with relational database management systems (ideally PostgreSQL or Oracle ).

Core Competencies

• Process Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of core software processes—including code tuning, debugging, refactoring, and structured branching.

• Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Prior exposure to the financial services industry , specifically centered around corporate accounting or general ledger frameworks.

• Soft Skills: Highly self-motivated, driven, and analytical with communication skills tailored to bridge alignment between business leaders and developers.
