About this role

PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, MySQL, Web Development, Website Optimization, Database Management, Performance Tuning, Web Design, Web Application Audit · My real-estate website is stuck at an E on GTmetrix, with both performance metrics and Core Web Vitals deep in the red. I need it lifted to a solid A and green across the board without disturbing day-to-day operations.

You will have full access to the theme, hosting panel, and all standard plugins except two that must remain untouched: the search module and the external property-feed plugin. Everything else—images, scripts, stylesheets, caching layers, database queries, server settings—is fair game. I’m not interested in quick hacks; I want sustainable improvements that hold up when GTmetrix is run on any page, not just the homepage.

Key points you’ll handle: • Complete performance audit to locate the worst offenders. • Image compression, next-gen formats, lazy-loading where it makes sense. • Script and CSS optimisation: minification, deferral, tree-shaking, critical CSS extraction. • Server-side tweaks—object caching, browser caching, HTTP/2 or 3 settings, and CDN configuration if you recommend it. • Database clean-up and query optimisation for listing pages. • Thorough testing to be sure nothing breaks the search feature or property feed.
