About this role
JavaScript, Graphic Design, WordPress, CSS, HTML5, Creative Design, Frontend Development, SVG, Web Animation, Web Design · We require an experienced interactive SVG designer and creative front-end developer to produce one cinematic, interactive Africa map section for an existing WordPress website.
A detailed visual concept has already been created and will be supplied as the creative reference. The successful freelancer must professionally recreate and refine the environmental backdrop, build a geographically accurate SVG map of Africa, and implement smooth interactive behaviour.
Only two countries will be active: the Republic of the Congo and Mozambique. On desktop and laptop, hovering over an active country must reveal a destination panel. On tablets, iPads and mobile devices, tapping must reveal a touch-friendly panel and call-to-action.
The component must work responsively across desktop, laptop, iPad, Android tablet and mobile devices in portrait and landscape orientations.
Required deliverables include the accurate SVG map, refined layered backdrop, hover and tap states, animations, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, editable source files and a lightweight production-ready component suitable for integration by our existing WordPress developer.
