About this role
PHP, JavaScript, Website Design, Graphic Design, CSS, MySQL, HTML, Web Development, Frontend Development · I’m building an online tournament where every matchup is decided entirely by visitor votes. The site must be a fully responsive website—no separate app—so it looks and works flawlessly on both desktop and mobile screens.
Design wise, I’m after a modern, sleek aesthetic: clean lines, bold typography, smooth transitions, and an overall polished feel that invites people to engage. Core interaction for launch is simple and focused: users arrive, review an active matchup, and cast their vote. As soon as the round’s timer expires, the system should tally totals automatically, advance winners to the next bracket, and immediately display the new pairings. (I may add commenting or social-sharing tools later, so a codebase structured for easy feature expansion is a plus.)
Key needs • Responsive front-end (HTML5, CSS3, JS; feel free to suggest React, Vue, or another framework if it speeds delivery) • Real-time or near-real-time vote collection and storage (MySQL, Firebase, or comparable) • Admin dashboard where I can create tournaments, upload images, set round durations, and monitor results • Visual bracket that updates dynamically after each round • Basic anti-cheat measures (IP
