Core workflow • Add an item once, store its purchase price and quantity, and have the app instantly generate a unique scannable barcode. • At checkout, the cashier can simply scan the code; the system will deduct the quantity, record the sale price, and calculate what VAT and Corporation Tax will be owed on that transaction in real time. • All staff will have full access, including the ability to adjust inventory, tweak settings, and view historical cost data—so intuitive permissions and secure authentication are a must.
Key features I expect to see working end-to-end 1. Inventory CRUD with barcode creation and in-app/physical barcode scanning. 2. Accurate, transparent VAT + Corp-Tax calculations configurable for different rates. 3. Dashboard and exportable reports that break down stock levels, gross profit, and tax due. 4. Cloud-based database with offline caching so staff can keep selling even if the network drops. 5. Smooth, native-feeling UI on both platforms, ideally built with a single codebase (Flutter, React Nativ
