About this role

Testing / QA, Software Testing, Test Automation, Usability Testing, Node.js, Regression Testing, API Testing · We need an experienced manual QA tester to thoroughly test a live, already-deployed web app called PriceMatch and produce a clear bug report.

ABOUT THE APP PriceMatch lets a customer log a purchase they made at a retailer (Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart, Amazon), then automatically tracks that product's price. If the price drops within a 60-day window, the app alerts the customer by email/push so they can claim a price-match refund from the store. It's a React web app (also installable as a PWA) backed by a Node.js API.

WHAT NEEDS TESTING

1. Account & login - Register, log in, log out, change password - Stay logged in across browser sessions/tabs — confirm you are NOT unexpectedly logged out during normal use (this was recently changed, please test carefully) - Edit profile (name, notification preferences)

2. Adding & tracking products - Add a product manually (name, store, price paid, purchase date, optional URL/SKU/barcode) - Edge cases: a price under $15 (should be rejected), a purchase date far in the past, today's date, an invalid date - Add a product with a real retailer product URL and confirm the detail page reflects it - Try the "Add from photo" and "Find link with
