About this role
Mobile App Development, iPhone, Android, Node.js, MongoDB, React Native, MERN, REST API · I need help building a social media platform that runs on a MERN back-end and a React Native front-end. The core experience centres on two features: rich user profiles (photo, bio, followers) and an endlessly scrolling content feed. Everything should feel smooth and native on both iOS and Android while sharing the same MongoDB, Express and Node services that power the web admin panel.
On the server side you’ll set up a clean REST (or GraphQL if you prefer) API, handle authentication, profile CRUD operations and feed endpoints. For the mobile app you’ll wire the UI to those endpoints, manage state cleanly (Redux, Zustand or another modern approach) and make sure images and videos load efficiently.
Deliverables • MERN API with secure auth, user profile routes and feed endpoints • React Native app (iOS & Android) fully connected to the API • Brief setup documentation so I can run both projects locally and on a VPS
Once the profiles and feed work flawlessly I’m ready to expand into messaging and other features, so writing modular, well-documented code is important.
