About this role
PHP, Visual Basic, Data Processing, Data Entry, Excel, Data Analysis, Google Sheets, Data Management · I’m looking for a clean, easy-to-use spreadsheet that lets me log dozens of orders across several vendors in one place. It must automatically add up quantities and costs as I enter line items, offer a dropdown menu so I can pick the vendor instead of typing it each time, and change colour or style the moment an order shifts from “Pending” to “Shipped”, “Back-ordered”, or any other status we define together.
I don’t need a standalone app—Excel or Google Sheets is perfect as long as the file is ready to go the moment I open it. The layout should be flexible enough for future columns, yet locked where formulas live so nobody breaks them by accident. If you can include a quick instructions tab and a bit of sample data so I can see everything working before I plug in real numbers, even better.
Once the template calculates totals, filters vendors through dropdowns, and highlights status automatically, the job is done. Let me know how fast you can turn this around and if you foresee any clever touches that would make daily ordering even smoother.
