About this role
PHP, Data Processing, Data Entry, SQL, MySQL, Database Programming, phpMyAdmin, Database Management · I have a collection of text-based records that need to be inserted directly into an existing MySQL database. The tables are already created; what’s missing is the accurate, timely population of each field. Your task is straightforward: take the source files I’ll provide (plain text and a few CSVs), clean any obvious formatting issues, and upload the data through phpMyAdmin or a command-line import—whichever you’re most comfortable with—as long as referential integrity is maintained.
I will supply: • The database schema with field definitions and constraints • Source files organised by table • Clear mapping notes showing which column each text element belongs to
What I expect back: • All rows entered without duplication • Primary and foreign keys respected • A brief log of any anomalies you encounter and how you resolved them • A final SQL dump so I can verify the new state of the database on my end
If you’re experienced with MySQL imports, character-set handling, and quick spot checks for data cleanliness, this should be a simple, focused assignment.
