About this role
PHP, HTML, WooCommerce, Payment Gateway Integration, API Development, Payment Processing · I need a robust payment gateway up and running for my service-based company registered in the United Kingdom. I have not yet settled on whether PayPal, Stripe or Square is the best fit, so part of the job is to help me weigh the pros and cons of each in terms of UK fees, payout speed, dispute handling and PCI-DSS compliance, then configure the one we choose.
My site is already live; it is a straightforward service booking platform built with WordPress and WooCommerce, so you’ll be working in that environment. I expect everything from API key generation through to live transaction testing to be handled, including webhook setup for automatic status updates and secure capture of client details.
Deliverables • Recommendation summary comparing PayPal, Stripe and Square for my use case • Full gateway installation & sandbox testing • Switch to live mode with at least one successful real transaction • A brief step-by-step handover guide so I can manage refunds and settlement reports on my own
