PHP, Web Scraping, Troubleshooting, Software Architecture, MySQL, Regular Expressions, cURL, Database Management · I am looking for an experienced PHP developer with strong web-scraping and database experience to fix an existing scraper.
The website structure was recently changed by the client, and the current PHP scraper is no longer retrieving and storing all products correctly in the database. The scraper is located in the attached file:
prd_ss_ap.php
For example, the Napkins category and its subcategories are currently missing from the database, along with other items that are not being captured. Required Work
Review and understand the existing prd_ss_ap.php scraper.
Identify why some categories, subcategories, and products are no longer being retrieved.
Update or repair the PHP code to ensure all items are scraped correctly.
Ensure that every product is retrieved under the correct Category → Subcategory structure.
Confirm that all scraped data is stored correctly in the database.
Test the scraper thoroughly against the updated website.
Provide the updated PHP file and any required instructions for installation or use.

Strong PHP experience.
Proven experience with web scraping and HTML/XML parsing.
