About this role
PHP, Mobile App Development, Android, Electrical Engineering, Geolocation, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Route Optimization · Objective: Mapinger currently provides a CRM-based platform to create and manage indoor floor plans, profiles, locations, tags, and navigation.
The next requirement is to introduce real-time indoor positioning, allowing a user's current location to be detected inside a building and displayed on the Mapinger indoor map.
Target experience
“Open Mapinger → Indoor map loads → Your live location appears → Mapinger shows where you are and guides you to your destination.”
The system should support multiple positioning technologies, primarily:
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacons Wi-Fi-based positioning Potentially Hybrid BLE + Wi-Fi Future support for other technologies such as UWB 2. Business Requirement
The current Mapinger system tells users where places are.
The new system should also tell users:
“Where am I right now?”
