First, the category system on the home page should let visitors dive straight into alphabetized sub-categories through a clean dropdown that is fully searchable. The dropdown must appear directly beside each main category in the existing listing form and keep the current look and feel of the site while adding the new layer of granularity.
Second, the mobile experience needs a full polish so it feels as smooth as the desktop site. I want faster loading times, clearer navigation paths, and a layout that automatically adapts to different screen sizes. Key points here are instant access to the main categories, readable text without pinch-zooming, and simpler tap interactions throughout the site.
