Senior Backend/AI Platform Engineer Needed

Node.js, PostgreSQL, Software Development, OAuth, Backend Development, Security, GitHub, Next.js, Vercel, AI Agents · We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend / AI Platform Engineer to work with our existing development team and codebase to restructure and harden the platform architecture for enterprise deployment.

This is not a greenfield development project. The core platform already exists.

The primary objective is to improve separation between the application, backend and AI services while implementing appropriate authentication, permissions, security controls, deployment architecture and testing.

Scope of Work

1. Onboarding → Application Boundary

Estimated effort: 2–4 days

* Review existing onboarding/application flow. * Restructure the boundary between onboarding and the main application. * Ensure authentication and authorisation are correctly enforced. * Prevent unauthorised access to application resources. * Establish clean user/organisation context when entering the application.

2. Separate AI Agents from Main Application

Estimated effort: 4–8 days

* Review existing AI/LLM implementation. * Decouple AI agents from the main application. * Move AI processing into clearly separated backend services. * Establish a scalable structure for adding additional AI agents. * Ensure s
