About this role

1. System Design & Architecture:

• Lead and drive the architectural design of large-scale, complex systems.

• Make high-level design and technical decisions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Define and enforce best practices, architectural guidelines, and coding standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system architecture with business goals.

2. Development & Coding:

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, enterprise-grade Java applications.

• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices through rigorous code reviews.

• Drive the adoption of modern development frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide scalable solutions.

3. Research & Technology Evaluation:

• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on existing and future projects.

• Drive innovation by recommending and implementing cutting-edge solutions.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to strategic technology roadmaps.

4. Software Testing & Integration:

• Define and implement best practices for automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.

• Lead the creation of unit, integration, and performance testing frameworks.

• Ensure software reliability by conducting thorough code analysis and debugging.

5. Environment Configuration & Maintenance:

• Oversee and optimize development, testing, and production environments.

• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Proactively identify and resolve environment-related challenges.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain high-quality technical documentation, including system architecture, design patterns, and best practices.

• Provide clear, concise reports on project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Document and communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively.

7. Mentorship & Team Leadership:

• Mentor and coach junior and intermediate developers to enhance their technical skills.

• Promote knowledge sharing and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.

• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.

8. Client Interaction & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a technical liaison between clients, business analysts, and development teams.

• Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and manage expectations.

• Provide expert guidance and support to clients, ensuring technical feasibility and business alignment.

9. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

• Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance software development efficiency.

• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve system performance and reliability.

• Contribute to defining and refining agile development methodologies within the team.

10. Adherence to Standards & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and best practices.

• Enforce VAS-X ’s development standards, coding guidelines, and quality assurance processes.

• Advocate for clean code, software craftsmanship, and technical excellence.
