About this role
PHP, Website Design, SEO, WordPress, eCommerce, HTML, Content Writing, Website Development · I already have a licensed WordPress/WooCommerce theme ready and will handle the basic installation myself. What I need from you is the full build-out of an eCommerce-style catalogue (no payment or checkout) for approximately 20 IT products aimed at the Sri Lankan market.
Your work will include configuring WooCommerce as a catalogue, creating clean product pages with the information and images I supply, and applying solid on-page SEO so each item can rank well for local search terms (English & Sinhala/Tamil keywords where appropriate). Please optimise slugs, meta titles, meta descriptions, schema, image alt text and internal links, plus make sure the overall site structure supports fast loading and mobile responsiveness.
Because I will handle the initial theme setup, you can jump straight into content entry and optimisation. Feel free to suggest lightweight plugins for caching, security and SEO as long as they don’t bloat performance.
Deliverables: • WooCommerce configured in catalogue mode, no payment gateway • Twenty fully populated product pages with SEO metadata, images and category/tag structure • Home, category and basic info pages styled to match the theme’s design •
