About this role
Python, Linux, Django, MySQL, Node.js, Docker, FastAPI, REST API · I’m building a web application whose sole purpose is to take raw text, run it through a processing pipeline, and return clear, actionable results in a browser. The flow is straightforward: users upload or post text through an API, the backend validates and cleans it, performs parsing, tokenisation, sentiment or keyword extraction, and then stores everything so the front end can display dashboards and downloadable reports.
A modern stack is preferred—Python (FastAPI or Django) or Node.js on the server, and React or Vue on the client—but I’m open to whatever you’re most productive in as long as the code is clean, scalable, and well-documented. Containerisation (Docker) and version control (Git) are expected, with deployment instructions for a standard Linux VPS.
Deliverables • Complete, working source code • Database schema and migration scripts • RESTful API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) • Unit and integration tests for the core processing logic • Step-by-step deployment guide
Acceptance criteria: when I upload a sample .txt file, the system must finish processing and return JSON plus a rendered dashboard view within 10 seconds.
