About this role

JavaScript, NoSQL Couch & Mongo, Node.js, AngularJS, Vue.js, RESTful API, GraphQL, Prisma · I’m building a web application from the ground up and have settled on a Vue 3 front-end, a Node.js (Express) back-end, and a MySQL database. The first milestone is a solid foundation that includes secure user authentication and the ability to handle several distinct user roles, each with its own set of permissions.

Here’s what I need from you: craft the schema in MySQL, build the REST (or GraphQL if you prefer) layer in Node.js, and wire it to a clean, component-based Vue 3 interface. The authentication flow should cover registration, email-verified login, password reset, and role-based access control that cleanly gates routes and API endpoints. I’d like the code organised so new features—such as real-time updates or payment integration later—drop in smoothly.

To keep us aligned, please deliver: • a Git repo with well-commented source for Vue, Node, and SQL migrations • a short README that explains local setup, env variables, and build scripts • a quick loom or screenshot walkthrough proving each role sees only its permitted views/actions • automated tests for the auth and role middleware (Jest or similar)
